The regular review of activities and processes for energy waste and environmental impact plays a key role in this. Our latest master\u2019s thesis examined the environmental assessment of round baler belts at our subsidiary Artemis under the name \u201cGrizzly Splice\u201d.<\/p><p>The CO2 equivalents of two products were determined and compared in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14067. Round baler belts are used in agricultural machinery (including Krone, Kuhn and Claas) to compress hay and straw into bales. Our latest product, the \u201cGrizzly Splice\u201d, uses a patented method in which the vulcanized material is mechanically joined by sewing \u2014 a sustainable advance.<\/p><p>Today, our Master\u2019s student presented the results in her final colloquium. The thesis analyzed the impact of the switch from endless splicing to sewing in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. The main results are:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b17a196 elementor-icon-list--layout-traditional elementor-list-item-link-full_width elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-list\" data-id=\"b17a196\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-list.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"elementor-icon-list-items\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-arrow-circle-right\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Reduction of 48.6% of the CO2-equivalent footprint in the provision of materials from the indirect supplier and own production Artemis.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-arrow-circle-right\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Reduction of the CO2-equivalent footprint in the use phase by 17.2 %.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bf24f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2bf24f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The thesis received the top grade of 1.0.
